Deliverables

BRIEF:
Artist BlipAnims commissioned me to do a photoshoot of him and his newest art piece “Hazel Eyes”.

HOW I MADE IT:
With a very limited budget I used the Canon EOS 250D, given to my by a family friend to take the shots, with most settings like ISO set to auto. The main goal of the shoot, was to capture the artist in nature interacting with his piece, in a visually appealing manner that would show a clear view of the artwork but also the artist’s personality. To do this we went to a nearby forest on a lovely summers day and shot for an hour or so, while the sun was as clear as possible.

This shoot was quite a challenge as the harsher lighting conditions made the artwork look reflective from most angles. To fix this I used Photoshop to reduce the highlights, up the contrast and boost the saturation of the images. This also helped in making the artwork and the artist’s outfit pop, perfect for the final social media post to showing the artwork.
I also want to add that this description is a brief summary of the project and not a detailed step by step tutorial, as there were a lot of extra things I did throughout the project that I can’t cover without making this description thousands of words long.
